Cyprus was a major producer of copper until it was invaded by Turkey in 1974. Chesterfield is a brand new venture, listed in July 2018. We have bought a large number of licences from the Cypriot Govenment to explore for copper and gold in these clearly prospective historic mining regions. Our advantage is that we have modern exploration methods, and an enhanced understanding of VMS geology, unavailable to mining companies in the 1970s. We have a very active 2019 programme, drilling around old mines while also using geophysics and geochemistry to look for significant new discoveries under cover.
