What is your rationale for attending 121 Mining Investment?
We would like to meet investors who share our view of exploration. In 2019, we will be financing both Exiro Minerals as well as a spin-out subsidiary that we intend on taking public.
We would also like to meet mining companies who are looking for high-quality exploration projects or have collections of historical paper exploration files that we could help unlock the value of. We are also interested in evaluating non-core assets being divested by mid-tier and major companies, provided they have significant exploration potential.
What recent news would you like to highlight to investors attending?
Exiro recently announced the results of a successful Phase 1 exploration program on the Beaucage Property south of Lynn Lake, Manitoba, Canada and the acquisition of the prestigious McKinnon Dataset from Timmins, Ontario, Canada.
What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?
We have a long-term contrarian philosophy. As a result of the downturned market, there is significant opportunity for Exiro to identify and assemble high-quality exploration assets and collections of historical proprietary data. Our greatest challenge is prioritizing opportunities and strategizing how and when we acquire additional datasets or mineral exploration properties. Our approach is to partner with high-quality people who share our vision and understand exploration.
In a sentence, what do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?
Our leadership team and board share a fundamental belief that Tier 1 and 2 deposits remain to be discovered but that doing so requires smarter exploration. We believe that a significant proportion of valuable historical geoscientific information is tied up in paper format. By combining modern technology with traditional interpretation methods, we can unlock the value of this data and lead the next generation of major discoveries. Our strategy is to be ahead of the market to position Exiro as a leading mineral exploration company.
