HighGold (TSX-V: HIGH, OTC: HGGOF) is a well-financed exploration company – C$23 million cash – focused on high-grade gold projects located in Alaska and Timmins. HighGold’s flagship asset, the Johnson Tract Gold (Zn-Cu) Project, located in accessible south-central coastal Alaska, USA, has an Indicated Resource of 2.14 Mt grading 10.93 g/t gold equivalent (AuEq) for 750,000 ounces AuEq and an additional Inferred Resource of 0.58 Mt grading 7.16 g/t gold equivalent for 134,000 ounces AuEq. Johnson Tract also has a 12-kilometer mineralized district of quality gold prospects. HighGold completed 16,500 meters of drilling in 2020 and has upsized the 2021 program to 20,000 meters. The plan for 2021 includes significantly increasing the Johnson Tract mineral resource and testing targets in the district.
Assay results from 2021 drilling include:
• 577.9 g/t Au, 2,023 g/t Ag, 2.15% Zn, 0.30% Cu over 6.40m, including
982.7 g/t Au, 3,436 g/t Ag, 2.80% Zn, 0.44% Cu over 3.76m, including
2,860 g/t Au, 9,990 g/t Ag, 5.04% Zn, 0.88% Cu over 1.26m
The Company also controls a portfolio of quality active gold projects in the Timmins gold camp – including Munro-Croesus, one of the highest-grade historic gold producers in Ontario where mineralization occurred in a unique geologic environment producing gold samples of more than 10,000 ounces per tonne. HighGold has been consolidating the largely privately-held land packages in the immediate area, most of which have seen little to no modern exploration, with the objective of exploring for more of the same environmental conditions that deposited the very high-grade gold at the historic mine.
