Denis Miville-Deschenes – President and CEO
Denis Miville-Deschênes has been President and CEO of the Company since February 2017. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president at IAMGOLD, responsible for project development and construction from 2006 to 2014.  He is a mining engineer with over 30 years of experience in the design, development and construction of mines. Mr. Miville-Deschênes has a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from Laval University in Quebec.
 
Barry O’Shea – CFO
Mr. O’Shea has over 20 years of finance experience across diverse industries and countries. Mr. O’Shea was CFO of Fiore Gold Ltd. from May 2018 until its recent acquisition by Calibre Mining Corp. Prior to that, he spent eight years with New Gold Inc., initially as Vice President of Finance where he oversaw financial reporting, financial planning, internal audit, and tax and then as Vice President, Business Development, responsible for corporate development, investor relations, and strategic capital allocation. Mr. O’Shea is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School. 

What is your rationale for taking part 121 Mining Investment?

We want to increase investor awareness of Highland Copper and bring in new shareholders in the open market, as well as potential future equity raises. We are looking for investors that want exposure to domestic US copper development and production. The US is prioritizing resource and energy independence and needs to develop mines like ours.

What recent news would you like to highlight to investors attending?

Overall corporate turnaround in last 12 months: new Board, completed acquisition of White Pine North, paid down all corporate debt. We are in a strong position to advance our development stage copper assets in Michigan. Importantly, we recently announce that we initiated a PEA on a larger, combined scenario of the Copperwood and White Pine North assets, which are only 60km apart.

What are your key goals for the next 3 and 6 months?

3 Months:

* Issue updated Copperwood FS
* Define development strategy
* Infill drilling at White Pine North
 

6 Months:

* White Pine North drill program
* Partnership with State of Michigan

12 Months:

* Define ESG strategy 

* Begin early works and mine construction

What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?

The marco environment of short-term copper price and capacity to raise construction capital.

What do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?

The US needs domestic copper supply and we are in a position to provide it. There are limited copper projects in tier 1 jurisdictions as advanced as Highland.
