Volt Resources Limited is an Australian Stock Exchange [ASX:VRC] listed graphite mining company and an emerging producer of natural graphite anode – the largest component of lithium ion batteries used in EVs. We have 70% ownership in ZG Graphite mine in Ukraine (in operation since 1934) and a wholly owned 170 kTPA graphite mine under development in Tanzania (Bunyu project). The Bunyu Graphite Project has the largest graphite resource in Tanzania, with only 6% explored. We are also finalizing details of an integrated natural graphite anode plant in the US.
With the global energy sector’s shift from fossil-based systems of energy production and consumption to renewable energy sources like wind and solar, as well as lithium-ion batteries, the world of graphite has changed dramatically, with demand exceeding supply and prices rising by 25% in the last year. Demand from Automotive OEMs and battery producers to secure battery graphite products is growing, and with the very positive feedback received to date in testing our Bunyu Graphite products for the battery sector, our project is ready to fill this void. Volt is seeking financing to develop the Bunyu project.
