Resources and Energy Group (ASX:REZ) is an aggressive ASX-listed gold explorer. Its flagship asset is the Menzies Gold Project in Western Australia. Menzies is located 130km north of Kalgoorlie in the heart of the WA greenstone belt. Menzies hosts numerous shallow old workings with high grades. But it has been exposed to very little modern exploration and is considered highly prospective. The Company has ongoing drilling programs across Menzies with the aim of establishing a commercial inventory which could either underpin a stand-along development or play a key role in regional consolidation.

What is your rationale for attending 121 Mining Investment?
REZ aims to grow the awareness and understanding of the Company among investors. We believe investors are looking for new Australian gold projects with a strong growth outlook and active exploration program. The Menzies Project meets this criteria, with an outstanding location and history of high-grade production but very limited modern exploration.
What recent news would you like to highlight to investors attending?
REZ is generating strong, consistent news flow from the ongoing drilling programs at Menzies. This includes the recently-announced results from the Goodenough deposit, where the Company is now upgrading the Resource to be JORC-2012 compliant. Drilling is now underway at the southern end of the project as part of the overall strategy to grow the inventory.

What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?
With a large number of prospective targets, the challenge is to prioritise and develop the highest value targets to maximise the growth of the company.
What do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?
REZ has a diversified portfolio of gold projects with Australia in low risk regions close to established infrastructure and services. The flagship Menzies Project, 130km North of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia comprises 112sqm of under-explored, highly prospective tenure, including 22km of strike on the Norseman/Wiluna greenstone belt. It contains historically high-grade open pits and underground mines. Modern geological exploration methods are being applied and drilling is underway to unlock the near-surface resource value across the tenement package.
