Lilac Solutions is a US based technology and exploration company focused on identifying global Lithium brines resources and bringing them into production. In addition to a leading Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology, the exploration arm of the company has a proven track record of identifying and monetizing the newest and largest resources globally.

The London based team of subsurface experts has combined experience of over 300 years across lithium brines, oil and gas and mining industries. To date they have discovered validated Resources of 10Mt LCE and progressed projects from prospect to reserve in record times, returning 7.5x on investment in some instances.

The team have now identified globally significant resources in both the EU and USA using its vast proprietary database, geological models and AI/ML toolkits. We are the first movers, and we are offering an opportunity for early entry into industry moving lithium brine resource developments.

Management Profile

What is your rationale for taking part in 121 Mining Investment?

Lilac Solutions is looking to engage with funding partners for our lithium brine exploration and development projects within the EU and USA. With a strong track record of identifying, appraising and monetising lithium assets quickly, the Resource arm of Lilac is looking for the right groups to continue funding the successful fast-tracking of development activities in order to meet the rapidly growing global demand for critical minerals.

We have a live project in Poland which we are actively marketing. We also have two other projects in the US and Germany that we’ll be looking for investment for in the next 6 months. We are looking for investments into individual projects although we would be open to alternative platform level discussions as it relates to our broader EU, US or global portfolio of prospects. We are interested in meeting groups with a focus on battery metals / critical mineral supply chains. Typical project investments are $10-40m with platform level discussions <$100m USD.

What recent news would you like to highlight to investors attending?

Although not public as of yet, Lilac will be announcing the recent strategic investment into their global-top 10 lithium brine asset in Argentina.

Lilac identified, acquired, explored and appraised a huge Lithium brine asset in the centre of the lithium triangle. The team entered a new country, secured a dominant basin position, drilled and tested 13 wells in 22 months before booking 7.3Mt_LCE of third-party verified Resources.

Lilac is now operating a large-scale demonstration plant prior to the commencement of a 50ktpa_LCE commercial project.

What are your key goals in 3 months, 6 months, 12 months?

3 Months:

Identification of finance groups interested in project level investment in Poland.

Initial conversations with groups interested in lithium brine opportunities in the EU and North America either on a project or platform level.

6 Months:

Poland: Secured financing and submission of permits in Poland.

USA: Execution of well testing operations to validate our unique exploration approach in a proven US lithium play. Pending results and investment, expansion of our position in the play.

Germany: Award of licenses and identification of drilling sites.

12 Months:

Poland: Drilling and testing of first two exploration wells and initial feasibility studies.

USA: Drilling of first appraisal and acquisition of a large land position.

Germany: Permitting of well locations and first exploratory drilling to confirm legacy well lithium samples (<600mg/l).

What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?

Current lithium prices being low (although we are beginning to see an uptick). This has scared some investors away in the last 12months.

Expected increase in lithium price in the next 18month will also bring added interest from OEM’s for securing offtake.

The team are working closely with grant funding, current investors and local experts to ensure projects continue to progress.

What do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?

EU Projects:
Leveraging our unrivalled pedigree in Argentina, the team has identified a globally significant lithium brine resource comparative to some of the biggest producing projects in the lithium triangle. To date we have secured exclusive rights to 368,000 acres with an estimated resource of 49Mt_LCE in-place.

The project sits adjacent to the largest battery market outside of the USA and we have the teams in London and in-country to execute on our work programmes. Pending applications for over 1m acres are expected to be approved in the next 12 months, adding to the in-place resource potential.

USA:
Lilac has identified a high-grade region of a proven Lithium play away from more publicised regions. The area has higher resource density; higher concentrations of lithium (<850 mg/L) and comparable rock qualities to those of recently announced projects by Equinor and Exxon. The project has the potential to be FID ready within 2 years.
