Capella Minerals Ltd is an exploration and development company focused on the key metals (copper, cobalt, lithium, REE) required for Europe’s green energy transition.

Capella’s assets in Norway include high-grade copper-cobalt projects in the former Røros (Hessjøgruva-Kjøli) and Løkken mining districts of Trøndelag County, central Norway, and the Vaddas-Birtavarre project in Finnmark og Troms County, northern Norway.

In Finland, the Company’s focus is on the Katajavaara-Aakenus copper-gold JV in the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt as well as a portfolio of lithium-REE projects in central Finland. The European Commission’s Critical Raw Minerals Act of September 14, 2022, provides a solid foundation for the development of a resilient European supply chain for both lithium and REE.

Capella also retains exposure to gold exploration success through its Savant and Domain Joint Ventures in Canada.

Capella’s management team has a wealth of technical and market experience, and a proven track record of success in finding and advancing mineral discoveries. Recent success stories for the Capella team include Mariana Resources Ltd (acquired by Sandstorm Gold in 2017) and Extorre Gold Mines (acquired by Yamana Gold in 2012).

Management Profile

Eric Roth – President, CEO & Director
Mr. Roth (PhD in Economic Geology – University of Western Australia; FAusIMM) is an economic geologist with 25+ years of experience in international minerals exploration and mining project evaluation. He was most recently Chief Operating Officer of Mariana Resources, which was acquired by Sandstorm Gold in July, 2017, and is currently also a Non-Executive Director of Ivory Coast-focused Awale Resources Ltd. Prior to this, Mr. Roth was Chief Executive Officer of Aegean Metals Group Inc. (acquirer of the high-grade Hot Maden project in Turkey), and President and Chief Executive Officer and then Director of Extorre Gold Mines Ltd. (discover of the high-grade Cerro Moro deposit in Santa Cruz) until Extorre was acquired by Yamana Gold Inc. in June, 2012. Prior to Extorre, he was engaged as a consultant on South American gold projects for Exeter Resource Corp. and Kinross Gold Corp. From January, 2002, to March, 2008, he was employed by AngloGold Ashanti Ltd., initially as the Lima-based Peruvian project and South American opportunities manager and subsequently as the Johannesburg-based global head of greenfields exploration. During his tenure at AngloGold, the greenfields exploration team brought in over 20+Moz Au in Inferred Resources through new discoveries in Colombia (Colosa, Gramalote), Australia (Tropicana), and the DRC (Mongwalu). He is also a principal of consulting firm ER Global Consulting SA.
 
Karen Davies – VP Investor Relations
Karen Davies has been involved in the mining industry since 2002 with a focus on Senior Investor Relations and Corporate Communications roles. Karen has had extensive experience with a number of exploration and production companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange including Fortuna Silver Mines Inc., Rye Patch Gold Corp. and Mariana Resources Ltd. before joining Capella Minerals. Karen led various marketing initiatives with public company management teams to assist with equity financings, to secure coverage from all sectors of the investing community, and to implement internal procedures to ensure clear and effective communication to stakeholders.

JV with Hilo Mining on Lithium-REE projects in Finland and attaining drilling permits for Copper,Zinc,Cobalt projects Norway, and on our Gold/Copper project in Northern Finland. Working on a 43-101 report for our Copper project in Norway.
