What is your rationale for attending 121 Mining Investment?
Raising early stage funding to complete drilling program and further delineate resource, conduct benchscale test work, and commission PFS study.
What recent news would you like to highlight to investors attending?
– PEA recently completed
– Large, Inferred Resource already outlined (7Mt Li2CO3 contained & 60Mt H3BO3 contained)
– Two holes have hit 11m+ of massive borax (high grade and water soluable)
What are your key goals for the next 3, 6 and 12 months?
Complete 15-20 holes around the Massive Borax Zone to move resource to indicated and measured category and update MRE
– Continue drilling the larger resource to move to indicated and measured category
– Conduct hydrogeology and baseline studies
– Initiate benchscale metallurgical testing
– Continue in-fill drilling to delineate larger resource
– build and commission pilot plant
What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?
– Understanding the hydrogeology – we will conduct hydrogeological testing during 2020
– Understanding recoveries from our ore – met tests to date have indicated excellent recoveries
– Permitting – we have local permitting experts advising the company and also have a good relationship with Serbian government and the mining ministry, who are highly supportive of our project
What do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?
We have a very large, long life resource (31 year initial LoM and 75+ year resource) of Critical Raw Materials (Li + B as set out by the EU Iniative in 2020). We are strategically located in Europe, and logistically connected to the EU, making our project a secure and sustainable European supplier of these critical raw materials to the EU and European markets. Euro Lithium intends to be the most responsible and sustainable producer in Europe, and we are designing our mining and processing operations as such, with Equator Principles, PRI, and OECD guidelines at the heart of the business. We will be a decarbonised mine of the 21st century!
Euro Lithium is a privately-owned exploration and development company focused on becoming Europe’s premier partner for a secure and sustainable supply of Critical Raw Materials for the 21st century and beyond. The company’s two projects are located in the European nation of Serbia.
Serbia continues to recognize mining as an important industry for the development of its economy. In the early 2000s, Serbia invited foreign mining companies to register for exploration licenses, leading to world-class discoveries such as the Timok Project and the Jadar Project. Today, there are more than 300 mines and quarries in Serbia, and over 20 large international mining companies carrying out geological exploration and natural resource development due to the country’s investor-friendly mining policies and regulations.
In 2015, Serbia reformed its mining laws to establish new parameters for mining, licenses, and legislation. Among many improvements, the three key takeaways were as follows: Serbia’s mining laws are now in line with the regulatory framework of the European Union; lithium and boron are mineral resources of strategic importance for the Republic of Serbia; and simplification and transparency of permit issuance procedures for mineral exploration and exploitation licenses.
Serbia’s mining laws are considered today as one of the best in Europe, and the best in the south-eastern region of Europe. In 2017, the country ranked 3rd in Europe on the Fraser Institute’s List of Attractiveness for Mining Investments.
The company’s cornerstone asset, Valjevo, is the company’s title to a string of mineral exploration licenses containing a significant sedimentary lithium and borate deposit in Serbia. A 43-101 Preliminary Economic Assessment and Mineral Resource Estimate was recently completed for Valjevo, proving the viability of a low-carbon, cost-competitive, and multi-generational source of lithium and borates for Europe and the world.
Jadar West is a second project that comprises two mineral exploration licenses in Serbia that strategically surround the Jadar deposit. The Jadar deposit is also a sedimentary lithium and borate deposit, like Valjevo, though this is where the similarities between these two deposits end. Jadar contains a unique mineralogy and stratigraphy. If mined, Jadar will require a different mining and processing method in comparison to Valjevo.
