What is your rationale for attending 121 Mining Investment?

Highfield Resources is attending the 121 conference to provide a unique investment opportunity for investors in Asia. Investors who understand the long-term positive fundamentals of the fertiliser investment space will appreciate the very positive attributes of Highfield’s Muga Potash mine.

What recent news would you like to highlight to investors attending?

The Company recently received its positive Environmental Approval for its flagship Muga Mine. This permit is a key step in getting the project closer to construction.

What are your key goals for the next 3, 6 and 12 months?

12 Months:

Within the next 12 months we expect to put all of the permitting and construction planning into place in order to commence the 2 year construction build of the project.

What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?

At the moment our investors would see the key risks as being permitting approvals. The Company has already been awarded the key Environmental Approval from the Madrid Environmental Ministry and the demonstrated support from the local communities and local government gives us a high level of confidence that the construction permits will be expedited by the various approval authorities.

In a sentence, what do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?

There are a number of features that make Highfield Resources a compelling investment. The potash price outlook is positive with +2.5% pa growth predicted by independent experts driven by increasing population and reduction in arable land; the project is located in a potash consuming region; close proximity to ports; infrastructure investment is negligible. The ore body starts at about 350m depth; processing is relatively straightforward; capital costs are low and operating costs are very competitive. All of this will make the Muga mine one of the best margin global producers.
