Regulus Resources Inc. (TSX V.REG) is a Canadian company exploring the AntaKori Cu-Au-Ag project in Peru. AntaKori has an interim NI 43-101 indicated resource of 250mt of 0.48% copper, 0.29g/t gold and 7.5g/t silver, and inferred resource of 267mt of 0.41% copper, 0.26g/t gold and 7.8g/t silver. Regulus is carrying out a ~25,000 m Phase II drill program to expand the resource with the objective of establishing AntaKori as the next major copper-gold discovery in Peru.
John E Black – CEO and Director
John Black headed the former management of Antares Minerals Inc. which sold the Haquira Cu-M-Au deposit to First Quantum Minerals in 2010 for C$650 MM. Mr. Black is an economic geologist with more than 35 years of exploration experience globally. He first worked in South America in 1993 and has been actively involved in mineral exploration throughout the continent for several companies since that time. Mr. Black’s professional credentials include a B.Sc. degree in Geology (1983) and an M.S. degree in Geology – Ore Deposits Exploration (1988), both from Stanford University.
What is your rationale for attending 121 Mining Investment?
Regulus is attending 121 Mining Investment to update the London mining investment community on the results of the current Phase II drill program at its exciting AntaKori Cu-Au discovery in Peru. It is anticipated that the current drilling will lead to an updated resource estimate in mid-2020.
What recent news would you like to highlight to investors attending?
In March 2019, Regulus reported its interim NI 43-101 indicated resource on AntaKori of 250mt of 0.48% copper, 0.29g/t gold and 7.5g/t silver, and inferred resource of 267mt of 0.41% copper, 0.26g/t gold and 7.8g/t silver. As the resource remains open for expansion, Regulus is currently in its Phase II drilling program at AntaKori and has released recent results such as 610.20m with 0.84 % Cu, 1.02 g/t Au and 10.28 g/t Ag (1.66 % CuEq) from surface in infill Hole AK-19-031, and 819.90 m of 0.53% Cu, 0.24 g/t Au and 7.83 g/t Ag (0.77% CuEq) in Hole AK-19-034, which extended mineralization to the north.
What are your key goals for the next 3, 6 and 12 months?
Continue drilling current ~25,000+m drill program at the AntaKori Cu-Au project in Peru. Plans to carry out a financing via a strategic partner or on the open market.
Aim to publish updated resource estimate for AntaKori in mid-2020.
Plans to continue drilling to work towards definition of the full size of the mineralized system and anticipates completing a PEA that will begin to reveal the full extent and potential value of the mineralization.
What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?
The biggest risk is access to capital as the equity markets for early stage Canadian mineral exploration companies remain challenging. We are fortunate to have a loyal shareholder base that supports our efforts.
In a sentence, what do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?
There are very few new Cu-Au discoveries and Regulus’ AntaKori project represents one of the most attractive Cu-Au projects held by a junior explorer available for acquisition by a major mining or resource investment company.
