Los Andes Copper Ltd. is an exploration and development company with a 100% interest in the Vizcachitas Project in Chile. The Company is focused on progressing the Project, which is located along Chile’s most prolific copper belt, into production. Vizcachitas is one of the largest copper deposits in the Americas not controlled by the majors and the Company believes it will be Chile’s next major copper mine.
The Project is a copper-molybdenum porphyry deposit, located 150 kilometers north of Santiago, in an area of very good infrastructure. An independent technical report for the PFS, prepared in accordance with NI 43-101, demonstrated a robust project both technically and economically with Initial Reserves of 11 billion lbs CuEq, Measured and Indicated Resource of 15 billion lbs CuEq and a further 15 billion lbs CuEq of Inferred Resource The post tax NPV8 at $3.68/lb Cu is US$2.8billion with a 24% IRR. At US$4.50/lb Cu the post tax NPV8 is US$4.5 billion and the IRR is 32%.

Eduardo Covarrubias, Chairman
Mr. Covarrubias oversaw the mining interests of Turnbrook Corporation prior to the consolidation of ownership of the Vizcachitas project. Mr. Covarrubias was a banker with the Chase Manhattan Bank for almost a decade in NY and Chile, covering the mining sector. His responsibilities included project financing, structured finance and mergers and acquisitions transactions.
