Carl Tricoli is a Founder and Managing Partner of Denham Capital Management LP and has 36 years of experience in resource related investing. He is responsible for the firm’s global natural resource investments including oil and gas and mining, and also serves as Co-President of Denham. Mr. Tricoli chairs the Investment Committee and is also a member of the Executive Committee and the Valuation Committee. Denham Capital is a global energy and resources focused private equity firm with $8.4 Billion under management with offices in Houston, Boston, London, and Perth. The firm conducts its activities through three verticals: Oil and Gas, Mining, and Power and Renewables. Since the firm’s founding in 2004 it has made investments in over 50 companies worldwide. The firm is currently investing Denham Commodity Partners Fund VI LP, a $3 Billion fund.
Prior to forming Denham, Mr. Tricoli served as President of GeosCapital, a resource focused investment firm, after serving as Vice-President for Enron where he was involved in the development and acquisition of power generation facilities in North and South America, as Managing Director of Koch Producer Services where he led the principal investing activities for oil and gas, President of Black Hawk Resources, an independent exploration and production company with activities focused in the Northern Rockies and Managing Director and Head of Energy Corporate Finance for NationsBank Capital Markets. Mr. Tricoli is the Chairman of the Board of COG Energy, Ltd., a Colombian focused upstream company, and is also a member of the board of directors of Auctus Minerals Pty, Ltd., Connaught Oil & Gas, Ltd., Sierra Buckeye LLC, Tremont Master Holdings, Ltd. and Mid LA Mining Holdings LLC.
Mr. Tricoli received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Cass Business School in London.
