Maria Rosa joined Wood Mackenzie in 2016 as a research associate at the Base & Precious Metals Cost services based in the New York office. Her analysis focuses on copper, zinc/lead and gold operations and projects in the Americas. She co-authors the Global gold mine supply summary and Global zinc and lead mine cost summary.
She has over 8 years experience in the metals and mining sector and has worked across base and precious metals. Maria Rosa was previously a geological engineer at Knight Piésold were she focused on geotechnical and geological hazards, site investigation and permitting in various operating mines and mining projects, particularly in Latin America.
She has a BSc in Geological Engineering and minor in Mining Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and is currently pursuing a Master Degree at Queen’s University.
