Novo is an innovative gold explorer and producer with a significant land package covering approximately 11,000 square kilometres in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Novo has excellent long-term growth opportunities through highly prospective exploration tenements, expertise in project development and operations, and our use of mechanical sorting technology. Novo is focused on growing its production profile initially through its flagship Beatons Creek conglomerate gold operation which commenced production in 2021, and executing an aggressive exploration growth strategy concentrating on growing gold and battery minerals resources.

The initial oxide phase of mining at Beatons Creek will end in October 2022. The fresh phase of mining at Beatons Creek will commence in late 2023 or early 2024 following completion of an economic Feasibility Study and granting of mining approvals from the Western Australian government and subject to a final investment decision.

Management Profile

Michael Spreadborough – Executive Co-Chairman
Mr. Spreadborough was previously CEO of Metals X Limited, Managing Director & CEO of Nusantara Resources and Non-Executive Director of CleanTeQ Holdings. He has a mining engineering background, with over 20 years’ experience in mining lead, zinc, uranium, copper, gold and iron ore. He has held roles across the scope of the industry from business and project development, to operations and exploration. In recent times, Mike was the General Manager – Mining for WMC, and then later the Vice President – Mining for BHP Billiton at the world-class Olympic Dam Mine in South Australia. Mike was previously the General Manager – Coastal Operations for Rio Tinto, responsible for port operations and Pannawonica mine site. He then assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer for Inova Resources Ltd (formerly Ivanhoe Australia) and Sandfire Resources. Mike holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from the University of Queensland, an MBA from Deakin University, and a WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ronan Sabo-Walsh – CFO
Mr. Sabo-Walsh has over 10 years’ experience in corporate finance. He was employed by a full-service merchant bank providing ongoing financial and back-office support to public companies and served as the Chief Financial Officer of a mineral exploration company listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange prior to joining Novo. Mr. Sabo-Walsh has extensive experience with public listings, merger transactions, and public company management, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC.
