Richard began his career at Brown Fleming & Murray (now Ernst & Young), where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
After spending 10 years as Finance Director of a small, listed property company, he joined stockbrokers Fielding Newson-Smith as Partner, up until the firm was acquired by National Westminster Bank.
In 1992, he was head-hunted by Smith New Court where he developed their fledgling corporate broking business before moving to James Capel (now part of HSBC Investment Bank) in 1996. Later, in 2002, Richard joined Seymour Pierce as Vice chairman, where he went on to become the Executive Chairman of Cantor Fitzgerald Europe, following its acquisition in 2013.
Richard’s focus is Oil & Gas, having advised FTSE and AIM listed companies on IPOs, fundraisings and M&A transactions.
