Verne Grinstead is a Managing Partner of Appian Capital Advisory LLP, the investment advisor to the Appian Natural Resources Fund LP. The Fund invests in small to medium sized mining and metals companies and projects in selected countries including in Africa, North America and South America, and mainly in base, precious and speciality metals and commodities.

Prior to this he had been in investment banking for over 30 years, most recently as a Managing Director at JPMorganCazenove within the Equity Capital Markets team where he worked on a number of natural resource and other industrial transactions; his experience in the natural resources sector was gained while being based variously in Johannesburg, New York, Hong Kong and London.

His degrees include a M.Sc. in Management from Oxford University and B.A. and L.L.B. degrees from the University of Cape Town.
