Apollo Minerals (ASX:AON) is an ASX listed explorer with two key projects in Gabon; the high-grade Salanie Gold Project and the province-scale, near surface zinc-lead, Kroussou Project.
The Salanie Gold Project represents a unique high-grade gold exploration opportunity with visible gold in quartz veining (up to 430g/t) in a historical mining region that has not been explored for 70 years.
Successful exploration and drilling in late 2024 is leading into a larger drilling program in early 2025, following up on shallow gold hits and visible gold seen in trenching at surface.
The Kroussou zinc-lead system is a province-scale base metal project that covers a 135km trend and has an Exploration target of 140- 300Mt at 2-3.4% Zn+Pb. The most recent drilling has discovered massive sulphides (40%Zn+PB) at surface, which will form one of the key focuses of future exploration there.
