Platinum Group Metals Ltd. is an exploration and development company operating the Waterberg Project, a bulk mineable palladium and platinum deposit in South Africa. Waterberg is a large-scale PGM resource (26.34M ounces M&I palladium, platinum, rhodium and gold) (242.49 million tonnes @ 3.38 g/t 4E M&I) (2.5 g/t 4E cut-ff, 0.098% Cu, 0.18% Ni) with an attractive risk profile given its shallow nature. The project facilitates fully mechanised production with the potential to have amongst the lowest operating costs in the PGM sector. Impala Platinum acquired a 15% stake in the project for $30M USD in 2017 along with a control option for an additional $166M USD investment post definitive feasibility study in 2019.

R. Michael Jones brings over 25 years of experience as a professional geological engineer and has been involved with the raising of over $1 billion for exploration, mining development and production. In addition to co-founding Platinum Group Metals Ltd., Mr. Jones was a founder of Glimmer Resources Inc. and was responsible for the discovery of the Glimmer Gold mine, now Blackfox, in Ontario. During a six-year tenure as President of Cathedral Gold Corp., Mr. Jones ran a producing gold mining company and was involved in the review of a feasibility study and financing for the $1 billion Diavik Mine project during two years as Vice President with Aber Resources. Mr. Jones was a co-founder and director of West Timmins Mining that was purchased by producing company Lake Shore Gold Corp. in 2009 and was a co-founder and former director until 2012 of MAG Silver Corp. Mr. Jones is also a Director, President and Chief Executive Officer of West Kirkland Mining Inc.

What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?
Capital for new mine developments is challenging. The participation of Implats, JOGMEC and Hanwa provides for the possibility of a flexible funding solution post DFS in 2019.

The Waterberg asset is uniquely positioned as one of the few primary palladium deposits with a large-scale PGM resource and an attractive risk profile given its shallow nature.
