Kingsland Minerals (ASX:KNG) is an Australian exploration company that has recently discovered Australia’s largest graphite deposit. Located only two hours’ drive south of the port of Darwin in the Northern Territory and close to existing infrastructure, the Leliyn graphite deposit provides a compelling development scenario. KNG also owns the Cleo uranium deposit of 5m lbs of U3O8 which was drilled out after listing in 2022. Cleo has potential for extensions at depth and along strike. In Western Australia, KNG is exploring for lithium pegmatites at the Lake Johnston project. Large-scale, high-grade soil anomalies have been delineated with drilling to follow. KNG has been listed for less than 2 years and has only 61m shares on issue. Shares are tightly held with the three directors owning 21% of the issued stock.

What is your rationale for taking part in 121 Mining Investment?

Our aim is to increase the profile of Kingsland as a potential supplier of graphite products from the Northern Territory in Australia, close to Asian markets. We have defined Australia’s largest graphite deposit and have commenced metallurgical test-work. In addition, we have an advanced uranium project in the NT and a prospective lithium project in Western Australia

What recent news would you like to highlight to investors attending?

ASX announcement 13 March 2024 – Australia’s Largest Graphite Deposit

ASX announcement 3 April 2024 – High Grade Lithium Anomaly at Lake Johnston

What are your key goals for the next 3, 6 and 12 months?

3 Months:

We are progressing metallurgical test-work at the Leliyn Graphite Project to optimise the flotation concentrate flow-sheet

6 Months:

a) Produce a saleable concentrate from Leliyn in test-work conditions.

b) progress drilling at Lake Johnston to assess potential for lithium bearing pegmatites

12 Months:

Assess the viability to produce spherical graphite for use in EV car batteries

What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?

The graphite metallurgical test-work at Leliyn is progressing. Initial results are very promising but there is more work to complete to assess the final graphite products.

What do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?

A large graphite deposit on the doorstep of Asia and potential for lithium mineralisation in a company with only 61m shares and a market capitalisation of AUD$17m

What are the top 3 key investor takeaways?

1) Australia’s largest graphite deposit 200km from Darwin in northern Australia

2) Excellent potential for lithium mineralisation in the Lake Johnston area

3) Low market capitalisation with only 61m shares on issue
