Based in Vancouver, BC, NorthIsle Copper and Gold currently owns one of the most promising copper gold porphyry deposits in Canada. Located on northern Vancouver Island, the North Island Project’s access to pre-existing infrastructure in a mining-friendly community makes it one of the most attractive copper development stories in Canada.
Northisle recently completed an updated PEA for its 100% owned North Island Project and is advancing towards a pre-feasibility study while continuing to create value at the drill bit on its 50km porphyry belt.

What is your rationale for taking part 121 Mining Investment?

Looking for investors who are willing and able to invest in the market, whether that is retail, HNW or institutional. However, we are always willing to meet investors who might be options for a future financing.

What are your key goals in 3 months, 6 months, 12 months?

3 Months:
Initiate drilling at Northwest Expo, complete surface exploration program and geophysics across multiple targets, advance engagement with First Nations and local communities

6 Months:
Initiate PFS and baseline studies, submit Initial Project Description (a key BC EA step), initiate PFS supporting studies and trade-offs

12 Months:
2023 exploration programs, including drilling at Hushamu, additional drilling at NW Expo and other targets, material milestones complete on PFS and potential completion subject to input timelines.

What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?

The most important focus for Northisle at this time is to ensure that it undertakes engagement with First Nations to ensure continued support for the project. With First Nations support, the permitting process in BC is better able to move forward.  In addition, we need to ensure that we are advancing the PFS while also continuing to create value with the drill bit on our 50 kilometer porphyry belt.  Ultimately, we must judiciously source low cost capital and judiciously allocate it between project development activities and exploration in order to continue to enhance shareholder value as we have done over the last 12 months.

What do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?

We have one of the largest undeveloped copper-gold projects in BC, in a jurisdiction where power is inherently low carbon.  This will be increasingly critical in mine development and is already an important investment factor for public and corporate investors in mine development. We have a great team, strong relationships with first nations and a project with inherent infrastructure advantages which position us head and shoulders above other copper development opportunities. In addition, we’re in a stable political jurisdiction where the process for permitting is clearly defined and the government respects the rule of law.

What are the top 3 key investor takeaways?

* Developable copper project in a supportive mining jurisdiction
* strong economics and significant gold credit provide strong financing options
* focus on sustainability position the company to outperform in a market where this is increasingly important
