Sierra Metals is a Canadian mining company focused on copper production with additional base and precious metals by-product credits at its Yauricocha Mine in Peru and Bolivar Mine in Mexico. The Company is intent on safely increasing production volume and growing mineral resources. Sierra Metals has recently had several new key discoveries and still has many more exciting brownfield exploration opportunities in Peru and Mexico that are within close proximity to the existing mines. Additionally, the Company has large land packages at each of its mines with several prospective regional targets providing longer-term exploration upside and mineral resource growth potential.

ERNESTO BALAREZO – CEO & Director
Mr. Balarezo is an experienced mining executive leading multinational companies. His experience includes Executive VP, Americas for Gold Fields Ltd, CEO of Gold Fields la Cima SA, VP, Operations at Hochschild Mining, and various roles for the government of Peru, including working in the office of the Presidency of the Council of Minister monitoring several key mining projects in the country. He currently sits on various boards in mining sector, and holds from the University of Texas A&M a Masters in Industrial Management and a Bachelor in Industrial Engineering, plus completed several executive management courses at Harvard, Wharton, INSEAD and IESE.
JOSE FERNANDEZ-BACA – CFO
Mr. Fernandez is an experienced financial executive across multi-national companies. His prior roles include progressively senior financial roles at Anglo American in Peru and Sociedad Minera Corona SA, a subsidiary of Sierra Metals in Peru. He holds an Economics degree from Universidad del Pacifico, Lima, Peru and an MBA from Northern Illinois University, along with several executive diploma certifications from Northwestern university, INCAE, Cambridge and Universidad de Plura.
JEAN PIERRE FORT DEL RIO – Manager, Business Development & Investor Relations
Mr. Fort has over 10 years of experience in the finance and mining industry. Prior joining the Company, Mr. Fort served as the Chief Financial Officer of Silver Mountain Resources (TSX-V: AGMR). Prior, to AGMR, Mr. Fort worked at RBC Capital Markets in the Investment Banking Mining & Metals team, at Volcan Compañia Minera S.A.A. in Peru in several operational, financial reporting, and investor relations positions. Mr. Fort holds an MBA designation from Rotman School of Management – University of Toronto, and a bachelor degree in business from Universidad de Lima in Peru.
